Corebound is not medical advice. The programs, videos, form guides and articles on this website are general educational content about exercise and healthy living. They are not a substitute for advice, diagnosis or treatment from a doctor or other qualified health professional.
Check with your doctor first
Talk to your doctor before starting any new exercise program, especially if you:
- have a heart condition, high blood pressure, diabetes, or any other medical condition;
- have an injury, joint problem, or back pain;
- are pregnant or have recently given birth;
- take medication that could affect exercise;
- have been inactive for a long time, or are unsure whether exercise is right for you.
The Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology's free Get Active Questionnaire can help you decide whether to get advice before becoming more active.
Stop if something feels wrong
Stop exercising immediately and seek medical help if you feel chest pain or pressure, dizziness or faintness, unusual shortness of breath, sharp or joint pain, or numbness or tingling. Effort and muscle burn are normal during exercise; pain is not.
You are responsible for your training
- Exercise involves some risk of injury. By using Corebound content, you take part voluntarily and at your own risk.
- Choose exercise options, weights and intensities that suit you, and use the easier options whenever you need to.
- Make sure your space is safe: a clear, non-slip floor, stable furniture, and benches and dumbbells in good condition.
- Corebound can't see you train, so it can't correct your form or adjust a program to your individual needs.
No guarantees
Corebound doesn't promise any particular result. Results from exercise and lifestyle changes vary from person to person and depend on many factors, including consistency, sleep, nutrition, health and genetics.
Nutrition and health information
Healthy Living articles summarize public guidance, such as Canada's 24-Hour Movement Guidelines and Canada's food guide, for healthy adults. They are not personal nutrition or medical advice. If you have specific dietary needs or a medical condition, speak with your doctor or a registered dietitian.
About Coach Cole
Coach Cole is an animated character used to demonstrate exercises in the Corebound videos and form guides. He is not a real person and does not hold any professional qualifications.
